The Coronavirus Daemon

Before reading any further, I must warn you that the following blog-post contains swearing, and should not be read by anyone of a nervous or overly sensitive disposition, and preferably not by anyone who is superstitious about demons and stuff either.

OK, now that I have ensured that you are still reading this, I’ll continue. Recently, in a discussion I had there came up the question, “What is the Name of the current COVID 19 outbreak?” The implication being that if it had a “name,” it could be commanded like a spirit or Daemon. This relates to an old concept in both Exorcism Rites and in ceremonial magick, in that the first step in compelling a spirit to action is to ascertain and confirm its actual name.

This got me thinking – I turned to the astrology of the situation in the hope this might give me guidance.

Right now, in Capricorn / Aquarius, there is a “quadrivium” (four-way conjunction) with Mars, Jupiter, Pluto and Saturn. Several astrologers have noted that because this quadrivium has happened round about the same time as the current COVID 19 hysteria, that perhaps it represents the current pandemic itself?

If one cares to humour this conceit for one moment, one may follow my train of thought as follows:

In the Qabalah, Mars is represented by the letter PEH.

Jupiter is represented by the letter KAPH.

Pluto, being only recently (within the last hundred years) discovered was not traditionally represented in the Qabalah – however, some modern groups such as BOTA have assigned Pluto to the tarot key “Judgement” and hence the letter SHIN.

Saturn is represented by the letter TAV.

Hence, Mars – Jupiter – Pluto – Saturn – the planets in the order as they are currently lined up in the Quadrivium are collectively represented by a made-up Hebrew word thus:

פכשת

Peh, Kaph, Shin, Tav, written left to right.

Literally, this would be something like “PKShTh.” However, given that PEH is used for both a “P” and “Ph” sound, and TAV is a “T” as well as a “Th,” then it is not too much of a liberty to proclaim that the proper pronunciation of the above Hebrew word is “Fuck-Shit.”

Yes! The world is currently being ravaged by daemon named “Fuck-Shit.” And moreover, it is probably because humanity has been swearing a lot recently that this daemon has been inadvertently given more power than it deserves.

So please, don’t just clean your hands – clean your mouths also, and your vocabulary to go with it! And do not be swearing at all! Unless you are an experienced ceremonial magician who knows what they are doing, in which case, go right ahead.

Budget 2020: VAT on e-books and newspapers scrapped – BBC News

Finally, the Government has listened to me! In a move for which I have been calling for years, VAT on ebooks will be abolished in the UK – in today’s Budget. For some time now print editions were VAT exempt, but electronic versions were not, hence driving up the cost of ebooks, and punishing authors who rely on the sale of Kindle editions of their books – like me, for example!

Unfortunately, it will not take effect for another nine long months! Come on, do it now, people need something to read whilst they’re laid up in bed, self-isolating themselves!

General Election 2019: the Autopsy

In a previous post on this website, I attempted to predict the results of yesterday’s General Election 2019. My conclusion on reviewing what I wrote is that the information is all there in the stars: however there were a lot of factors at play apart from how the Transitting Planets affected the Natal Horoscope’s of the various Parties’ Leaders. This is a convoluted way of saying that many of my predictions were inaccurate – though not all of them were. For the sake of honesty and the integrity of Astrology itself, I shall attempt to dissect what I wrote, so that we may all learn something from this (and by “we” I mainly mean me).

Boris Johnson – Conservatives

The Conservatives won the election with an absolute majority of 79 (nb: this was written whilst there was still one seat left to declare), although given that Sinn Fein never take up their seats in the House of Commons even though they have seven of them, this effectively makes the Conservative majority 86. Their share of the vote was 43.6% – obviously an all-round improvement since the 2017 election. Boris Johnson himself held on to his own seat.

What I said:

He is going into this election feeling confident (he starts the campaign ahead in the opinion polls). However, he is experiencing over inflated feelings of importance, which cause him to over-reach. He will be prone to making miscalculations based on an avoidance of critical details. He will experience loss – travelling around the country or attempting to deal with religious people is not a good idea. It will not be a good time for domestic affairs or legal disputes.

[…]

Johnson is also likely to go through a period of erratic behavior: so much so that it loses him votes amongst young people – or he will have a major bust-up with younger members of his team.

This is essentially what happened: for example, his obstinacy in not engaging in the climate change debate, or allowing himself to be interviewed by Andrew Neill, or even FridgeGate. The only divergence between the astrology and the election result is that Boris’ misfortunes, although they occurred as predicted, were not enough to make a dent in his party’s results – i.e. he may have lost votes amongst young people, but the old people still kept him in power.

Jeremy Corbyn – Labour

Labour retained their position as the official Opposition Party, but lost 59 seats, taking their total down to 203. They also saw their share of the vote decrease – the only one of the main political parties to suffer this particular misfortune. Jeremy Corbyn held on to his own seat, but announced he would resign as party leader at an unspecified time before the next general election.

What I said:

Corbyn’s wish to be independent, to try new things, and so on comes at an inappropriate time and could cause real tensions amongst his colleagues. He might make embarrassing errors, neglect important details, or carry some delusions now. Corbyn will have difficulty in putting himself across well to others. He is also more sensitive emotionally, and may be prone to being misled.

This fits exactly with the debacle over (alleged) anti-semitism in the Labour Party.

However, Corbyn’s relationships with other people will improve and he will experience a time of rising personal popularity. His passion will come to the fore, and he can expect this to be a productive time for when his own plans advance, and realizing his dreams. Legal disputes he will be able to resolve mostly in his favour (contrast this with Johnson).

Corbyn will see the things holding him back leave his life. His reputation will receive a boost, and the Labour party itself may see new financial support from donors thanks to Corbyn’s influence.

This may yet prove to be true, however it will be thanks to Corbyn losing the Election and resigning as Labour leader, not the opposite way around. “Corbyn will see the things holding him back leave his life” implies that the leadership of the Labour party was in fact a job to which he was not well-suited, and he is now well rid of it.

Jo Swinson – Liberal Democrats

The Liberal Democrats remained in fourth place after the Scottish National Party, and even saw their share of the vote increase (see below). However they lost one seat – ironically, it was Jo Swinson herself, who has since said she will be resigning as leader of the Liberal Democrats.

What I said:

However there are some warning signs, e.g. transitting Neptune opposite her natal Mars warns against being overly optimistic. Also, the Pluto, Saturn and Venus Stellium is square to her natal Pluto, signifying unpleasant power-plays with those close to her, whilst Jupiter square to her natal Moon shows dissatisfaction with her personal circle. The danger is that although Swinson will do as best she can, probably causing a net increase in the Liberal Democrats’ fortunes, there will be some in her party who will think this is not good enough and attempt to stab her in the back in the election’s aftermath.

Ironically, the Liberal Democrats’ fortunes did increase. According to results published by BBC News, the Liberal Democrats’ share of the popular vote increased by 4.2% (i.e. from 7.3% in 2017 to 11.5% in 2019). Obviously this did not translate to electoral success either for her party or Swinson herself. The unpleasant power-plays may well have been reflected in the fact that her voting record as a member of the Coalition between 2010 to 2015 was dug up to embarass her. The overall implication of the stars is that although Swinson has now exited British Politics, she was mostly let down by members of her own party.

Ian Blackford – SNP

The Scottish National Party (SNP) remained in third place: Blackford himself held on to his own seat.

What I said:

This is a potentially empowering time for Blackford when his personality is more vibrant, magnetic, focused, and resolute. He projects a more responsible, perhaps serious, and self-assured personality to others. We feel considerably more mature and capable of handling our personal lives. Social functions and artistic endeavours go well. Blackford is more likely to be received well on Election Day than on other days.

This turned out to be a good call for the SNP, which increased its seats and its percentage of the vote. The media would like to think Nicola Sturgeon was responsible for the SNP’s success – even though she wasn’t actually standing in this election: however, if she can take credit for anything it is for having the good sense to appoint talented people to her team. One of my other predictions was that Blackford might be involved in an accident of some sort, but this is not reported to have happened – yet…

Nigel Dodds – DUP

Northern Ireland’s Democratic Unionist Party lost two MPs, and saw their share of the vote decrease by 0.1%, actually quite a lot for a small party.

What I said:

Ironically however, the planets are indicating that he will feel the need to reform himself and his ideas – hence changing the political direction of the DUP. For example he will experience dissatisfaction with the DUP’s accomplishments to date, and hence seek advice and new ideas, and implement them – in a way he would not have done so before. By embracing change, he will be able to resolve a potential power struggle harmoniously.

This came to pass – the DUP’s Nigel Dodds lost his own seat! The DUP did badly generally, and moreover, since the Conservatives disobeyed what the Stars were telling them and went and won a majority, they are no longer the power brokers at Westminster. I am confident the reform of the DUP will go ahead as I predicted in the light of their drubbing.

Nigel Farage – BREXIT Party

The BREXIT Party returned no MPs but it did win 2% of the vote.

What I said:

There is an overwhelming message in Farage’s planets that he can achieve great things so long as he does not try to cling on to policies which are old-fashioned or out-dated.

[…]

Brexit Party to do well – at least in terms of number of votes. I have noted before though that this does not mean they will translate this into a gain in seats.

This indeed came to pass as well. Given that the Brexit Party did not exist at the last election, it could only gain votes – but it did not gain any seats. The BREXIT Party came in just behind the SNP in terms of votes’ won, and ahead of the DUP, SDLP, Alliance Party, Sinn Fein and Plaid Cymru, each of which did return MPs. The BREXIT Party in fact suffered the same fate as UKIP did at the last election – which Farage also headed – in that because there support was distributed over a large area, they did not do as well as a parties which only campaign in a region, such as Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland. Farage’s horoscope has many beneficial features, so it would appear that he is wasting his talents at least with regard to the House of Commons.

Review: Mystical Words of Power by Damon Brand

Mystical Words of Power, by Damon Brand

This is the first of two books from the Gallery of Magick which I have read recently which I am going to review. Previous releases from the Gallery of Magick have been concerned with “low magick” – which despite appearances is not intended in a snobby way, but in the sense of mundane, everyday, material needs. I was therefore intrigued by the title of this book: Mystical Words of Power. Could high spiritual theurgy be seriously packaged in a book meant for mass consumption?

The blurb for “Mystical Words of Power” says:

Imagine using magick without any aim, desire or hope, without trying to solve problems, and seeking no gain. Imagine if this magick started to bring you all the things you want, and solved your problems.

This had me confused, as I first thought that magick without aim would not have a point to it. This turned out to be slightly misleading: it does have an aim – the aim is to improve one’s personal qualities – mental, intuitive, psychic or spiritual even – with the idea that good fortune will occur as a side-effect, or as an indirect result. The primary method by which it aims to achieve this is a series of recondite (from my point of view) techniques drawn from the Kabbalah.

Researching the derivation of these particular Kabbalistic techniques is a fascinating subject in itself, and has led me to adopt a new working hypothesis of the Kabbalah which could change the history of the Western Mystery Tradition. The previous or current paradigm is that the adoption of the Hermetic Qabalah is a legitimate and logical development from older versions of the Qabalah, which seems to be taken for granted by the pioneers of the late Victorian occult revival and traditions which derive therefrom. However, the new paradigm I propose is this:

From the time that the Kabbalah first became known amongst Gentiles – e.g. from the time of Pico Della Mirandola or earlier – it occurred to a number of Christians to attempt to Christianize it and hence weaponise it as a tool for the forcible conversion of Jews. Jewish Kabbalists, however, soon cottoned on to what was happening, and became deeply offended: they therefore decided – either by tacit agreement or just coincidence – to cease co-operation with Gentiles attempting to learn about the Kabbalah, and claim that everything about the Kabbalah had already been published – carefully denying the existence of any other Kabbalistic teachings. However, as time went on, Gentile occultists that gaps appeared when trying to use the Kabbalah as a workable system of ceremonial magick. Receiving no help from Jewish Kabbalists, they took the liberty of interpolating Hermetic teachings to fill the lacunae. Thus was born the Hermetic Qabalah. This state of affairs continued through the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, with people like MacGregor Mathers, Aleister Crowley, Paul Foster Case, Dion Fortune, etc all being none the wiser. In fact, many proponents of Hermetic Qabalah, instead of realising that the Hermetic elements were only late additions to the science, persisted in believing that they derived from ancient times, e.g. to Egypt or even to Atlantis.

The evidence which is now coming to light is that the knowledge required to fill the “gaps” had been in the unpublished and untranslated Kabbalah all along! However, because luminaries of the Western Mystery Tradition hadn’t heard of it, they had no idea it even existed! By “evidence” I am referring to books which have not been translated from Hebrew into English and published until comparatively recently, such as Shorshei Ha Shemot and Brit Menucha. (NB: although published these books are still very expensive to get hold of, so their full secrets may not be revealed for a few years yet).

Anyway, I digress. Back to “Mystical Words of Power.” I had a go at the rituals contained in this book, and I can confirm that when combined with meditation, they can indeed one into a deep spiritual state of consciousness. They gave me some insights which I personally found useful, although because they are subjective they wander into the territory of Unverifed Personal Gnosis, so I shall not say too much about them.

How To Predict the General Election 2019

Jeremy Corbyn

News today that the United Kingdom is going to have its third General Election in four years this year, on Thursday 12th December 2019. I shall therefore continue what I initially thought was going to be only a five-yearly occurrence, by publishing my predictions, based on the astrology of the election itself, and the transits formed at the time with regard to the leaders of the main parties.

In my previous attempt to use Astrology for this purpose, I noted that:

In my experience of trying to use Astrology to predict election results, I have come to the following conclusions.

  1. Astrology is indeed very good at predicting the way the popular vote will go.
  2. Astrology is not so good at predicting the final result.

This is especially true where a country has an electoral system where votes do not translate directly into seats, either in the House of Commons (UK) or the Electoral College (USA).

* But he did make a comeback in the 2017 Dr Who Christmas special, also as I predicted.

Nevertheless I did manage to call the final result, with the exception being that the SNP fared slightly worse than I predicted and the Lib Dems slightly better – although I did predict their leader, Tim Farron (yes, me neither!) would be swiftly exiting British politics.*

Interestingly, in the two years since the last general election, the Conservatives, Liberal Democrats, and Scottish National Party have each changed their Parliamentary leader i.e. whilst Nicola Sturgeon is still in overall charge of the SNP, they have a new leader in the House of Commons. Labour and the DUP have remained stable within the past two years; whilst UKIP has had four leaders and has currently suspended its current leader from the party and reported him to the National Fraud Investigation Bureau. I shall therefore take the liberty of including for the first time the Brexit Party, as in its short lifetime it has managed to accumulate 4 Welsh Assembly members and 29 MEPs, having done notably well in the European Parliament elections earlier this year.

Overview

The General Election will take place on Thursday 12th December 2019. As with previous prediction attempts, I have taken the “birth-time” as the close of polls that day (10pm), and the “birth-place” as Westminster, location of both 10 Downing Street and the Houses of Parliament. A Horoscope calculated with these parameters looks like this:

Chart for the 2019 General Election

Chart calculated for Thursday 12th December 2019, 10pm (i.e. close of polls), Westminster, UK.

The Moon – representing the People – is in a weak Opposition to the Sun – representing the new Government. I say “weak” because the Moon, the faster moving planet, is at the edge of the orb and moving away from the aspect. In other words, we shall not be surprised when the public registers dissatisfaction with how the new Government fares, but this will not necessarily be a major concern for the new Government.

Of more concern is the Moon – Jupiter aspect, which is a strong Opposition. Jupiter being the planet of the Judiciary and Church leaders, we may expect at least one major court case of public concern. Tellingly, Uranus, the Planet of BREXIT, is trine to Jupiter and sextile to the Moon, which leads me to suspect that the major court case will take the form of members of the public, acting independently of the Government, resorting to litigation to force BREXIT to occur – which will eventually be decided in the Brexiteer’s favour. The Press will be unsympathetic to this public campaign, but not so much as will affect the outcome.

Neptune, the planet of Remainers, is square to the Sun, signifying that those opposed to Brexit will be a drag on the new Government’s plans, trying to delay it as much as possible (which is to be expected) – we should not be surprised if the new extension (31st January 2020) is extended yet again.

The Sun, being in the fourth House, signifies that the major concern of the Government in the lifetime of the next Parliament will be how the political issues of the day affect housing and living conditions.

How the Parties will fare in the Election

Boris Johnson

Conservatives – Boris Johnson

Boris Johnson was born on 19th June 1964, in Manhattan, New York, USA – the only political leader in this election not born in this country.

Johnson is also likely to go through a period of erratic behavior: so much so that it loses him votes amongst young people – or he will have a major bust-up with younger members of his team. Boris will not be enjoying himself on Election day. However: long term, he will straighten out his personal priorities and prepare for a better future for himself, once out of office.

Jeremy Corbyn

Labour – Jeremy Corbyn

Jeremy Corbyn was born on 26th May 1949, at Chippenham.

Jo Swinson

Liberal Democrats – Jo Swinson

Jo Swinson was born 5th February 1980 in Glasgow, Scotland.

On the plus side, Swinson is almost guaranteed of having some major improvements in her overall life during this time period: for example, breakthroughs in her political career. She has the power to assert herself boldly and accomplish a great deal during this time period. She could receive unexpected backing and, in general, her efforts are successful and reach new heights of originality.

Work she has done will pay off, with more attention to planning and strategy. Pleasing contact with female voters is probable. Her overall manner in social situations is more mature, and she can easily make a good impression with her peers and with those older than her (which is just as well as she is the youngest of the major party leaders in this election).

Ian Blackford

Scottish National Party – Ian Blackford

For the purposes of this article I am analyzing the chart of the leader of the SNP’s contingent at Westminster, Ian Blackford, not Nicola Sturgeon, who is not standing in this election. Blackford was born on 14th May 1961 in Edinburgh, Scotland.

However: it is also a time of relationship tests, struggles, or trials. Blackford may not attract things and people that he wants in his life as easily as he could in the past, and this will be eye-opening for him. Blackford will need to work on improving his manner as he causes frustration with his colleagues – for example, through angry outbursts. Transitting Uranus square to his natal Mars also indicates a likelihood of being involved in an accident.

Nigel Dodds

Democratic Unionist Party – Nigel Dodds

Nigel Dodds was born 20th August 1958, in Belfast. Dodds is in an ambitious and dynamic phase of his life, and has the ability to form fruitful new relationships with voters and political colleagues.

Nigel Farage

The Brexit Party – Nigel Farage

Nigel Farage was born on 3rd April 1964, at Farnborough in Kent. There is an overwhelming message in Farage’s planets that he can achieve great things so long as he does not try to cling on to policies which are old-fashioned or out-dated. Now would be a good time for Farage to strike out on new, innovative policies – a breakthrough in his political career is possible, whilst what has limited his progress in the past will collapse. Farage’s reputation will generally get a boost. He will also be successful if faced with legal disputes or power struggles within his party.

UKIP ???

UKIP’s nominal leader is a guy called Richard Braine, but as he (a) is currently suspended from his own party; and (b) has not published full birth data on himself, I am not inclined to draw up a chart for him. He was born in April 1968 in London, but on what day, Wikipedia does not disclose. I do not feel that I am sticking my neck out by saying that UKIP are not going to amount to much in this election.

Conclusions

Hence, if I were to forecast the result of the election, based on the popular vote (subject to the caveats I noted at the top of this article), I would say the following:

  • Jeremy Corbyn and Labour for the win. I do believe that it is JC’s year this year, as he is the one party leader for whom the stars are lining up most favourably. At time of writing this blog, I note that Jeremy is currently 2/1 favourite at William Hill, although, confusingly, the same bookies are saying that the favourite overall result at 11/10 odds on is a Conservative majority! Figure that one out if you can!
  • Goodbye, Boris Johnson. Although BoJo has started the campaign well, it will go downhill henceforth. Of course, I have been using this blog to lead a Hex Boris Johnson campaign but, as much as I would like to take credit for getting rid of him, the fact is that the stars and planets themselves are against him!
  • Brexit Party to do well – at least in terms of number of votes. I have noted before though that this does not mean they will translate this into a gain in seats.
  • Liberal Democrats will make small increases, but not enough for a lot of Liberal Democrat activists.
  • Scottish Nationalist Party – tricky one to call – I would be inclined to say they will be appear to do well in the election campaign at first, before suffering a disaster which make it turn out to be a wasted opportunity for them.
  • DUP – will probably do badly in the election campaign itself, however, this will be a blessing in disguise, as it will cause them to reform and modernize the party.

Aliens 2019

News today that not one but two Earth-like exoplanets have been discovered orbiting a star just over twelve light years away. The star in question, “Teegarden’s Star,” is a red-dwarf, whose small size and apparent dimness meant that it was not easy to detect: it was in fact only discovered itself in 2003. Hence for all astronomers know, there could very well be many more stars, even relatively close to Earth, “patiently waiting for our senses to grow sharper.”

Given its distance from Earth, if our interstellar brethren are listening to our broadcasts, they will think we are still listening to The Kooks, Nelly Furtado and Razorlight, George W Bush is President of the USA, Tony Blair is Prime Minister of the UK, and the world waits with baited breath to see if The Davinci Code really did plagiarize The Holy Blood and the Holy Grail. More importantly, to communicate with these planets, it would take 25 years to send and receive messages by conventional means…

… However: you can do so instantaneously using the magic of the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn! Yes, using principles I outlined in a blog post entitled “Aliens and the Golden Dawn,” it is theoretically possible to astrally project to distant stars and the planets which orbit them using GD methods. The relevant data which would enable us to do so is that Teegarden’s Star can be located astronomically in Aries, at 2h 53m RA (compare this to Regulus, Alpha Leonis, which is 10h 8m RA) and +16º 53′ Declination, which puts it just above the line of the Ecliptic.

It is therefore possible to calculate where it would lie in relation to MacGregor Mathers’ version of sidereal astrology, and the corresponding Tarot card:

Name / Designation Distance (light years) Constellation Tarot-card
(Astronomic) (Mathers / Sidereal)
Teegarden’s Star 12.5 Aries 11º 9′ 38″ Aries Queen of Wands

The Queen of Wands from the Robert Wang Golden Dawn deck.

Hence: it ought to be possible to astrally project to the Queen of Wands after having formulated the Tree of Life Projected In A Sphere, and ask her to conduct us to the planets orbiting Teegarden’s Star to find out what life is really like there.

If there are any magicians who would like to give this a go, why not post your findings as comments to this post? 🙂

The Esoteric Significance of Notre Dame Cathedral

Who is left among you that saw this house in her first glory? and how do ye see it now? is it not in your eyes in comparison of it as nothing?

Despite the terrible news from Paris, the conflagration that befell Notre Dame has now been extinguished and, while the roof and historic spire have collapsed, most of the stonework including the historic towers is still intact. This is highly important, from an esoteric point of view.

Notre-Dame Cathedral.
“The 850-year-old Gothic building’s spire and roof have collapsed but the main structure, including the two bell towers, has been saved, officials say.”
(BBC News)

Although the world has been experiencing a collective panic about the art-work inside the Cathedral, there is still an enormous amount of art built into the fabric of the building itself. Take for example the North and South towers (see above). Note how they resemble two great pillars standing at the entrance? They represent Boaz and Jachin, the two great pillars which stood at the entrance to King Solomon’s Temple.

Internal floor plane of Notre-Dame Cathedral

Internal floor plane of Notre-Dame Cathedral

The ground plan of the interior follows a cruciform design, as is common in Christian churches. Moreover it is possible to overlay the Qabalistic Tree of Life over the design as well, such that the high altar represents the Supernal Triad; the Choir to Chesed and Geburah; the Transept to Tiphereth; the Nave to Netzach, Hod and Yesod; and the entrance to Malkuth.

… with Tree of Life superimposed.

Whilst the Tree of Life may be a latter interpolation, there can be little serious doubt that the masons who worked on the original structure did observe the principles of Sacred Architecture, in trying to incorporate the symbolism of both the Old and New Testament into the Cathedral – hence indicating the mysteries upon which Freemasonry is based.

The Mystery of the Cathedrals, by Fulcanelli

The best exposition of sacred architecture in regards to Gothic Cathedrals in general, and Notre Dame in particular, remains that of Fulcanelli. He introduces his theme by stating:

Above all there is nothing more captivating than the symbolism of the ancient alchemists, so ably translated by these modest medieval statues. In this connection Notre Dame of Paris, the Philosophers’ church, is indisputably one of the most perfect specimens and, as Victor Hugo said, “the most satisfying summary of the Hermetic science, of which the church of Saint-Jacques-la-Boucherie was such a complete hieroglyph.”

Mediaeval Alchemists would use Notre-Dame as a meeting place. Moreover, the design in inherently alchemical: its cruciform manner points out that the “Sign of the Cross” represents the preparation of the Stone (cf: the Transept – which “crosses” the Cathedral – effectively refers to the Gold of Tiphereth). The Rose window above the western door represents the wheel of time – the time necessary to concoct the stone. Moreover the main west door – the “Porte Du Jugement” – is elaborately decorated – superficially to represent the last Judgement, but on closer examination contains a plethora of Hermetic symbolism.

The Porte Du Jugement

Fulcanelli also points out Hermetic symbolism to be found elsewhere on the Cathedral’s exterior (e.g. the “Porte de Saint-Anne” to the right of the “Port de Jugement”). Curiously, the vast majority of the Alchemical symbolism is on the outside of the Cathedral, at the entrances: perhaps signifying that Alchemy is ultimately about purifying oneself, so that one is then worthy enough to enter into the Holy of Holies.

It is gratifying that within 24 hours of the incident millions of Euros have already been pledge to aid its restoration, as the sooner the building again becomes fit for worshippers – both exoteric and esoteric, the better.

The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former, saith the Lord of hosts: and in this place will I give peace, saith the Lord of hosts.

What The Stars Have In Store For Julian Assange

Today, to celebrate Julian Assange being dragged kicking and screaming from the Ecuadorian Embassy, I present what I first wrote about his situation when he first went in there, six and a half years ago. Looks like the Scientologists have got their revenge at last. Hail Xenu!

Julian Assange behind bars

Get used to this view!

News today that the United Kingdom has rather intemperately threatened to storm the Ecuadorian embassy to forcibly arrest Wikileaks founder Julian Assange. Some cynics amongst us might say that President Obama is putting pressure on David Cameron. However, I say, not so! For I have used my superior powers of Astrology to find out what’s really going on, and I’ve got to say, for once the truth is actually far more interesting! Here then is what the stars have in store for Julian Assange:

I drew up a Horary figure to answer the question: “What will happen to Julian Assange regarding his present situation?” The time, date and place for the question was 12.44pm British Summer Time (11.44am GMT), 16th August 2012, Essex, UK. This produced the following chart:

Horary chart: “What will happen to Julian Assange?” (1144 GMT, 16/08/12, Essex, UK)

First, I looked to the position of Luna, to determine the circumstances in which the question had arisen. This was 9º 33′ of Leo (a Fixed sign), in the 9th House (a Cadent house), some 4º 22′ past the last nearest planet Mercury. This suggests that his current situation relates to an incident approximately four years and two and a half months ago.

This intrigued me, as his current legal battles are based on incidents alleged to have occurred more recently than that, in 2010. So, therefore, I decided to check on Wikileaks’ past history and see what they were up to in 2008, around about the beginning of June / end of May. I realised that the most recent exposé they had done by that point was the publication of secret material of The Church of Scientology.

Xenu

Xenu: “You’re for it now, Assange!”

Yes, indeed, far from it being a simple case of the US Government being pissed off with Assange, the Scientologists are seeking their revenge against Assange and are using their dupes *ahem* “contacts” in the Washington (and quite possibly) London administrations in order to get back at him.

So now to see what the immediate future holds for Assange: the Lord of the Ascendant, which indicates the development of the matter, is Mars, the planet of Violence, which just so happens to conjunct Saturn, the planet of Death and Restriction, in the twelfth House – which amongst other things represents prison. Could this mean that Assange will meet a violent death in prison??? Well possibly not actually, because Assange himself would be represented by the Lord of the Descendant, which would be Venus, which just so happens to be in the 8th House, the House of Death, where it is opposed by Pluto, the planet of explosive transformations…

Oh dear! This is not looking particularly good for Mr Assange! Let’s see what the end of the matter would be: this is signified by the Lord of the Fourth House, which happens to be Saturn. This of course is as we just noted in conjunction with Mars in the 12th house, so that what was said about Mars above will turn out to be how it all eventually ends up in the long-term.

The one light at the end of the tunnel, if there is one, is that now that Assange knows the kind of astrological forces which are at work, he is in a position to try and overcome them and escape them, instead of just succumbing to his fate. The stars impel, they do not compel, as the old saying goes, which is another way of saying: forewarned is forearmed.

So in conclusion my predictions for Julian Assange are as follows.

  • Julian Assange will lose his current legal battle, and be extradited from Ecuador (if indeed he gets that far).
  • If Assange gets to prison and hears a mysterious ticking noise, he should arrange for a cell transfer immediately.

Harry Potter books burned by Polish priests alarmed by magic – BBC News

News today that Catholic priests in Poland have been burning books which they associate with magick and witchcraft – starting, inevitably, with Harry Potter.

A Catholic group burns books and artefacts it judges to be symbols of evil sorcery.

Now the fact that burning books is a symptom of a totalitarian, intolerant, etc society has been said before, and sure enough, as soon as the story first broke, the chattering classes said as much on this group’s Facebook page.

However… I say this: what book is an occultist’s prime resource for Gematria?

From what book do you derive the names of countless angels for use in ceremonial magick, such as those of the Shem Ha Mephoresh?

What book must you inevitably possess if you want to make use of the magical powers of the Psalms?

Yes indeed! If these Catholic priests want to burn any books associated with magick and witchcraft, by rights the first book they should be setting on fire is the Bible itself!

Now I appreciate that some may find this idea a little controversial, so I propose a compromise:

I hereby give these priests permission to burn the occult fiction novels of Alex Sumner – so long as they pay for them first.

Seriously – all of my novels contain graphic descriptions of actual magick in between all of the scenes of people either being murdered or having sex (a lot of the sex scenes are themselves examples of magicKal rituals).

Furthermore, the print editions are all made of good quality paper which I am assured combusts easily, perhaps with a little dash of lighter-fuel (NB: please don’t try this in a confined space, for health and safety reasons).

Finally, Amazon do deliver to Poland. I suggest buying in bulk to make use of economies of scale – when you buy five or more at once, the total shipping averages at less than a pound per book, although obviously for a decent sized conflagration on a cold night, obviously you would need a lot more.

Hey! Why not get one for each of your parishioners? They could be made to feel a part of the event by each having their own copy of one of my novels to add to the blaze – have them symbolically throw on their book each one in turn. You could give them out with the Holy Communion at Mass, make it easy to distribute.

Eternal Witch, by Alex Sumner ©2018

I suggest you start off with Eternal Witch, not just because it is my latest one, but also because it features of a real-life Scottish woman being burned at the stake in the late sixteenth century.

So happy incinerating, and make sure you only buy original purposes and not pay for pirated copies, as you don’t want to be breaking the eighth commandment now, do you?
