Happy Solar Return To Me

Jack Daniels Tenessee Honey

OK, doing a solar return chart for myself, to see what the forthcoming year has in store for me. Lemme see…

  • The ruler of the Ascendant is Mercury, indicating I will be mainly concerned with Mercurial things like writing and tarot cards, etc
  • The moon is in the third house, which is all about communication and writings…

Hey wait a minute, this is crap! The stars are telling me I’m going to have exactly the sort of year that I would have expected to have! What’s the bloody point of doing all this astrology lark if it tells me what I know already?

Hang on, there’s more:

  • The Sun is in the fifth house, which my crib tells me is all about pleasurable emotions, love affairs and the arts; and
  • The Sun is also trine Jupiter, which when Retrograde signifies spiritual growth and mysticism

Aha! This is more like it! Not only am I going to get laid, I shall become even more spiritually advanced than I am now, if indeed that were possible. This calls for another shot of Tenessee Honey. Cheers everyone! 🙂

Attack of the Killer Cucumbers

In 1978, when Attack of the Killer Tomatoes was released, audiences laughes at vegetables rising up against humanity. Come 2011 with the current E-Coli outbreak, they’re not laughing now.

It is all to do with the recent Rapture. Now the first of the tribulations is occurring – Vegetable Apocalypse!

Spare A Thought For The Homeless Magician – A Poem

Spare a thought for us homeless magicians
For we wander the streets like you.
Be kind to us kindly mages,
It’s not hard for our needs are few:
We just need a little temple space
To do our pentagram and hexagram rituals,
Where the nearest Pub is just a short pace
So that afterwards we can go have some victuals.
We need storage space too, but until we find it
I suppose we’ll just have to carry on looking.
So spare a thought for us homeless magicians –
The bastard hotel has cancelled our booking!

Alex Sumner (Age 371/4).
